About Dr. Thera Wu

Dr. Thera Wu was born into a family deeply rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China. Inspired from a young age by her father’s work with herbal medicine and acupuncture, she was drawn to a life of healing and followed in his footsteps.

She is a licensed Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturist, grounding her practice in the same classical, holistic principles she witnessed growing up. With nearly a decade of clinical experience, she recognized that chronic stress was a root cause of many of her patients’ physical and emotional issues. Seeking a modality to address this directly, she pursued advanced training in Gong Sound Therapy in Los Angeles, immersing herself in the use of therapeutic sound for deep nervous system regulation.

This specialized training led her to pioneer a unique treatment of Acupuncture and Gong therapy. This powerful combination facilitates a profound meditative state, allowing the body’s innate healing intelligence to take over.

To further support her patients in building resilience, she completed an intensive eight-month Kundalini Yoga teacher training. She now incorporates the potent breath-work, movement, and meditation of this technology to help individuals navigate stress in their daily lives.

Today, alongside her traditional TCM practice, she offers her unique Acupuncture and Gong Therapy and teaches Kundalini Yoga. She believes that mental and physical health are inseparable, and that true healing often begins with calming the nervous system. Her goal remains simple: to guide individuals toward a lasting sense of inner calm and balance.

When not working, she cherishes time with her two sons, family, and the close friends who have supported her journey.
